STURGEON COUNTY, AB, Feb. 19, 2026/ CNW/ – A brand-new pedestrian bridge and shared-use path will broaden active transport in Alberta with a financial investment of more than $1.7 million from the federal government.
A shared-use course is being constructed on the west side of Starkey Roadway from Sturgeon Roadway to the existing Bellerose River Stroll in Sturgeon County. Starkey Roadway is a main passage in between Sturgeon Roadway and Bellerose Drive and acts as a primary travelling path through the Sturgeon Valley. With connections to the Lower Viscount Estates and Bristol Oaks areas, the path will have simply over a kilometre of course for travel and will consist of brand-new lighting, signs, and naturalized landscaping.
